WHAT ARE THE THREE TYPES OF SUPPORT IN AN NDIS PLAN?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is also called NDIS. It is a scheme designed to help people with a disability under the age of 65 to get the support they need. The NDIS offers three different finding types. Under these funding types, supports are organised into Support Categories.

Core Supports
Core supports are the basic things you need to live your daily life
- Assistance with daily living
- Transport
- Consumables
- Assistance with Social and community participation
Capital
This funding is for the more significant items that support you in your daily life
- Assistive Technology
- Home Mods
- Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Capacity Building
This funding supports you to build skills to become more independent
- Support Coordination
- Improved living arrangements
- Increase Social and community participation
- Improved Relationships
- Improved health and wellbeing
- Finding and keeping a job
- And more
